Office Policies
Appointments
Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to change your appointment.
We are aware that unforeseen events do occur; however for an optimal treatment result, we must see you on a regular basis, typically at 6-10 week intervals while you are in active treatment.
We appreciate that many patients may prefer to come in the early and late day after school or work. We cannot guarantee these appointment times will always be available as we reserve the very busy times of day for shorter appointments to accommodate as many of our patients as possible. As well, certain procedures are scheduled at specific times in the day due to their time requirements. We will do our utmost to accommodate your schedule, however not all appointments can be made early and late day. We are open on Fridays and one Saturday a month in an effort to try and provide a variety of appointment times from which to choose.
Insurance
Our financial coordinator will provide you with a completed Canadian Association of Orthodontists Insurance Predetermination Form prior to treatment commencement. You must submit this form to your insurance carrier(s) to determine if a portion of your treatment is covered by your insurance company.
Our office does not bill, nor receive payments from the insurance company directly. All contracts and charges are made, and payments received, directly from the patient or parent (responsible party). Payment receipts are provided so that you can submit them to the insurance company for reimbursement by the policyholder.
An initial fee is due at the start of orthodontic treatment, however the balance can be paid over time on a payment plan. This can be set up for automatic payment/withdrawal with a Visa, MasterCard or Pre-Authorized Bank Withdrawal for your convenience.
